Lemtrada has caused me chronic lymphopenia. I had a single course of Lemtrada in August 2016.
My lymphocytes have been moving between 0.3 and 0.6 since that. That has not stopped them to attack me, so I’ve been having lots of relapses and the treatment has been considered a huge failure.
Regarding the lymphopenia, my neuro says it is not too bad, but having such a low level puts me in the dangerous range for PMS.
I’m going to have a bone marrow transplant as part of the HSCT treatment. My stemmies has been just collected, but the transplant team (haematologists) says that the chronic lymphopenia may or may not be solved after the transplant.
Do you know more cases? I don’t think it’s possible to have a great life expectancy when any virus can potentially destroy me.
