I’m starting ballet classes today. I hope it’ll go better than my tap classes last week but I’m excited. I haven’t danced in years and I need to lose weight (a lot of it)and get stronger. I’m truly excited but I have to get through work first (UUURG!).

I should imagine that ballet is particularly good for balance and core strength.

No ballet, but both myself and @reddivine go to TaiChi classes, it may seem a form of gentle exercise but with the bending and stretching you DO notice muscle you never thought you had!

Ballet. mschronic will notice muscles he didn’t know he forgot.
And it is (at least beginner level) slow and steady.
Dancing of any kind will lose you weight….theres a reason Artem gets his shirt off on Strictly. Have you seen his muscles?
And ballet, well look up some vid of Carlos DaCosta, young ballet dancer from Cuba.

Wrong name! Its Carlos Acosta. The dude has muscles, but he’s worked for em!
