58yrs old and awaiting spinal MRI

Doc thinks I’ve MS Neurologist thinks it’s all in my head!!!!!

You’re 58 years young!

Now, we’ve got that sorted out, then you’re being considered by the right specialist now. Your GP is not in a position to suggest this kind of diagnosis.

MS is notoriously difficult to diagnose. It’s a case of eliminating the other possible causes, of which there are many, and then proving it is MS.

The MRI is the first part of the process, although this should cover the brain and the spine, to give more conclusive results.

Allow the Neurologist to follow their procedure and they’ll get to the bottom of this.

But please try not to worry and stress in the meantime. These negative emotions have no useful outcome. In fact, they can make the situation worse.

So, be patient, be kind to yourself and get on with your life.

I was diagnosed at 55 and am living life to the full. MS will not defeat me. Good luck .
