An MS relapse, attack, flare-up or exacerbation (whatever your chosen description) causes new symptoms or the worsening of old symptoms for people with relapsing remitting multiple sclerosis. It differs from person to person and can be relatively mild, or severe enough to interfere with someone’s ability to function at home or work.
