Hello. I had my first case of ON 2 weeks ago and my vision has almost made a full recovery although I’m noticing the color in my left eye is slightly duller than in my right eye. Will it ever go back to 100%? Maybe it just takes time? Can the myelin ever grow back over time?

As yet there are no treatments available to repair myelin, the substance that forms a protective sheath over the nerves and which is damaged by the immune system in people with multiple sclerosis. Myelin sheath repair is regarded as a crucial problem to be addressed by MS researchers, because they believe that remyelination could alleviate many of the symptoms that MSers experience. There are numerous studies ongoing to determine how repairing the myelin sheath could help MSers.
