Rituximab
I had HSCT September 18 in Russia. Was doing great till I got shingles in summer 19, and a MRI in January 20 confirmed new activity. I’ve been advised by my HSCT doctor to get Rituximab infusions (3-4) to try to put me back in remission. Since Rituximab is not licensed for MS in the UK , I’m struggling. Since it’s been just over two years since my last Rituximab infusion the private haematologist in Edinburgh said he couldn’t help. The doctor at Christie’s in Manchester no longer offer this treatment. I’m now in touch with a haematologist in Worthing who is willing to help but the request was turned down as I don’t live locally. Is anyone able to advise of a private haematologist that might help, or if anyone lives in the Worthing area that would let us use their addresses to try again with the request.
Do you know if you could do Ocrevus infusions instead? I know it’s extremely similar to Rituxan.
@shona1902 , I'm in West Sussex, within the Worthing & Southlands hospital Trust area. How would my name/address help and would it be legal? I believe that @Mlgilber1 's suggestion above is the preferable way forward.
