Mental health
Hi, I’m newly diagnosed but been living with 24/7 (when awake) symptoms for over a year which has been life changing and exhausting. That plus the new diagnosis and realising this is forever/can get worse has been hard on my mental health. Does anyone who has been through this and found a way to improve things mentally have any advice to share please? I’m receiving counselling through work (via phone) and am working 2 days in the office and 2 days from home. I have 2 kids age 17 and 12 and a husband who works away for 10 days then home for 4. Any advice gratefully received! Thank you
I found my kids to be a great reason to keep trying to improve my daily life. MS is progressive, and lifelong, but it doesn’t have to be horrible. We have a to. Of great meds available to help with all kinds of symptoms. We also have so much more information on how to properly nourish our MS bodies. Also, we finally have these kinds of forums to commiserate with others suffering from the same disease. 🦠 My kids, 30 and 31 now, have been fantastic supporters, and have encouraged me to keep pushing forward.
Have you tried the buddy network on this app? Wondering if you may find that helpful. The ms society has a helpline, ive called then a couple of times for advice and to talk. Ms trust has one too but not tried them myself. Sending positivity your way
