Is it difficult to travel with MS

I used to take Copaxone and would pack the syringes in ice to keep cold when traveling. Now years later I don’t take MS meds but I just don’t want to travel. My daughter wants me to visit her in Phoenix; it is a 5 day drive which I don’t want to do and I don’t want to fly either. I have become rather complacent lately and just prefer to stay home.i know that is not too exciting. But I have to say after I turned 78 I just don’t have the desire to travel. Actually I felt that way when I turned about 73ish. How do other seniors with MS feel about travel?

Hi itasara, While technically not a senior, I live a senior lifestyle. I can only speak for myself but after my last coast to coast flight to see family I have spent 9 months mostly in bed and now am at SPMS. I am not saying the travel changed my diagnosis but I still have not recovered from the one week trip. I’d like to see family again but I’m afraid to travel especially alone. As someone who flew bicoastal regularly for work over a decade, I’m used to being a savvy traveler. No more. IF I do that trip again I will need a companion to do all logistics and food and use a wheelchair and have them talk to TSA and any persons involved with everything the entire time. Good luck. These are hard choices, I don’t like the reality but travel anywhere is an absolute no for me right now.
