Ah anxious so sorry to hear that.well thankyou for taking the time to answer me as your feeling rough .i dont really think theres any actual ms fatigue drugs really but some people have mentioned the odd names .obv meant for other illnesses though. Iv been so affected life for months iv got no quality of life it feels.got various ongoing med appointments iv been struggling to get to on my own but i can but try.it has a knock on affect on the bidy and muscles when we cant move around , it sucks and you stuck in bed must be the worst. Have you seen a doc? Is it ms related?

I ended up in a +e due to dizziness on orders of gp. Saw a neuro who thinks it may be inner ear infection. He didnt seem that bothered about my fatigue though:-( just hope it doesnt last i have to be back in work next week...people keep saying just rest but dont know if thats helping...

islandgal

@islandgal

Ahah i was thinking inner ear as that causes your symptoms.i guess as youv been incapacitated for so long your body is getting a bit weak n feeble .aa long as your trying to eat good enerfy foids ir a ton if Lucozade!! Seriously though it is a worry if you need to get back to work but if your bidy us struggling as ms is ontop too you simply cant rysh back untill your a bit stronger energywise ir itll put you right back or bring on sonething worse..ie relapse.on meds fir ear thing? Well im laying about resting but really dont feel better for it.you just gota chill rest eat n drink well and give it time i rekon

@Stumbler

@islandgirl, fatigue is one of the most frustrating symptoms. As with most things MS, it is impossible to fight it. we just have to try and manage it. Have a read through here, especially the link on the right:- https://www.mstrust.org.uk/a-z/fatigue

Hey there! My neurologist prescribed amantidine (viregyt) for me. It's mainly used in Parkinson's to minimize shaking, but there is an increasing evidence, that it's good for MS fatigue, especially for footdrop and helps in concentration. An other + is that it can prevent influenza A infection. But before trying this I kindly recommend some alternative approach like meditation and for muscle tiredness home use of somekind of e-stim device.

islandgal

@islandgal

Hi matesuto Well yes i will look at alternative as thats what im about.just seeing what other input on here has to offer .thankyou

[email protected], only just seen your post...been up to my eyes in people helpin, cleaning, tidying, making ramps to garden etc. I used to get such bad fatigue that I fell asleep across my drawing board at work, long before the MS bugger set in. After blood tests it turned out to be under active thyroid - soon mended wth thyroxine. I'm just wondering if they checked you. Trouble is we MSers often put fatigue down to the usual suspect ( the MS bugger) but it COULD be something else, treatablešŸ˜€--- spirits up gal...will send pm soonxx

@binx

NicciS

@NicciS

I took amantadine for fatigue and it worked well for me. No side effects (apart from loss of appetite which wasn't a problem since I needed to shift a few lbs anyway!) I would definitely recommend.

islandgal

@islandgal

Cheers niccis..well iv no appetite anyways lately so i may end up like a twig if i go for it ! Food for thought as they say .
