I see you're a newbie, I pretty much am too, although I've been registered on here for ages - I'm even the admin for the Northern group....how'd that happen? :) I live in Wakefield, not too far from Leeds. Whereabouts in Leeds are you? I saw your post about feeling lonely, I feel the same, it's like no one else around fully understands what's happening. As one of my ms friends says, Keep on your feet! Hiya Rachel, Big clue .... Pudsey bear!! Yup relate to that no one understands. I have family close by (don't understand/ won't understand)! but all my friends are miles away. First time in my life (since moving here) I find myself without a strong friendship circle :( don't think I ever really comprehended what loneliness was until I relocated to a new city. The worst thing is.... My MS is a taboo! Can't talk about it here at all & in fact the people that know (ALL my Caucasian friends) can't believe I have it, the usual I look so well, so bubbly, so strong etc. I guess I am thankful for (albeit on the surface) appearing so 'normal'. .... Apart from the occasional foolish absolutely I am stupid conversations I have (when I just can't converse in the articulate manner I once used to, coz I'v forgotten the words& my sentences come out verrrrrrry basic and the trail of thought just does somersaults like there is no tomorrow! There that's me... Writing this Probably makes me sound even dumber :D
