Newly diagnosed

Hey everyone. I've just been diagnosed with RRMS. I had one episode of optic neuritis in November 2025, which led to numerous scans and a lumbar puncture, with my diagnosis being given on 3rd July. I have one area of demyelination on my brain, and one on my spine - neither of which were accompanied by any symptoms. Demyelination was found on my optic nerve, which ties in with the ON. Has anyone had these lesions/demyelination and not had symptoms? My consultant said it was very unusual so now I'm sat here thinking I'm an odd ball! I will be starting Kesimpta once my MS nurse does all the paperwork for funding etc - I didn't realise how expensive these drugs were and feel very lucky to have the NHS!

Thats positive you have no symptons and long may it continue, I had fatigue in my legs after long periods working and it would go after rest so opted to not take a DMT as it was manageable, it has since got worse so started taking in Oct, its a gamble either way you may never need meds but are taking them or opt out and it gets worse, do what yiu tbink is best, living a healthy holistic lifestyle is a must for MS
