Anyone in London?
Hi, I have been recently diagnosed and I am still learning how to navigate this condition 🧡 it's a bit of a lonely feeling like none really understand what I am going through..
I live on a canal boat in London and
I am looking for people that are going through the same to hang with in London if anyone is up for it.
I really need some connections as none of my knowledge have Ms and I feel a little like an outcast at the minute, looking for a sense of community ✨
It may also be a good idea to go to your local MS Society group meetings. I still remember the feeling of being isolated when I was first diagnosed so can understand what you are saying. All the best
Yes ClaireVS is right, the MS Society should have some groups in London. I live in a small Lancashire town and there used to be two groups within 30mins from me. Almost all the same people went to both so when one closed the other did too. This won't be what all groups are like so don't let it put you off, but when I first went to my local group I was in my mid twenties and newly diagnosed. I was looking to compare my life to other MSers but the other young person and myself kept getting shushed and told to be quiet by the rest of the group who were all in their 60s and 70s and trying to play a murder mystery game 😅 Fun days 😂
