I'm seriously considering creating a different kind of MS community.

Not because I think people shouldn't talk about the hard stuff. They absolutely should. But because I think we're missing balance. When you're newly diagnosed, you're often scared and searching for hope. Instead, it's easy to find an endless stream of posts about what MS has taken away. What if there was a community built around what MS hasn't taken away? ๐Ÿ’š Realistic hope, not false hope. ๐Ÿƒ Exercise and rehabilitation. ๐Ÿง  Modern treatments and the latest research. โ„๏ธ Cooling strategies and symptom management. ๐Ÿฅ— Nutrition, sleep and pacing. ๐ŸŽ‰ Celebrating wins, however small. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ Working, parenting, travelling and living with MS. ๐Ÿค Honest support without assuming everyone's future will be the worst case. The aim wouldn't be to ignore the difficult days. We'd still have them. But every problem would be met with encouragement, ideas, lived experience and practical support. MS in 2026 isn't the same disease landscape it was 20 or 30 years ago. Many of us are on highly effective therapies, staying active, working, raising families and proving that a diagnosis doesn't have to define the rest of our lives. I'd love to build a place where people leave feeling informed, encouraged and empowered instead of frightened. Would anyone else want to be part of something like that? I also like the idea of giving it a memorable name. A few possibilities: MS Forward Beyond MS MS Thrive Living MS Modern MS MS Momentum The Hopeful MSer MS Next MS Unwritten Move With MS
@ClaireVS

MS Thrive is a good name!

Hey @St1gzy, really appreciate you sharing this, and the thought you've put into it. That balance you're describing, realistic hope alongside the hard days, is exactly what we want Shift.ms to be. The bit about celebrating small wins especially resonates. ๐Ÿ’š We're actively working on this too. We've just added interests at sign-up so we can start showing people content based on what they actually need rather than just chronological order, and there's more coming on that front. Would you be up for having a call with our development team to discuss your ideas further? I'd love to get your ideas directly into how we shape this, you clearly have a strong sense of what's missing. It would be great to have you involved if youโ€™d be interested. ๐Ÿซถ
