90 Months With MS: I Think the Wins Deserve Some Airtime 💪

Sorry if this offends anyone, because I know MS hits us all very differently, but I think the wins deserve some airtime too. I went to the gym today after linking my Garmin data to ChatGPT and building my training around what my body was actually showing. Today it basically said: RELEASE THE HOUNDS. 🐺 So I did. Smashed a load of PBs, chased some of my all-time strength numbers and actually had to hold myself back from doing more. There are understandably loads of posts about what people have lost since diagnosis. So here’s one about what MS hasn't taken from me. I’m still driving. Still working full-time. I’ve spent the last 10 years in a graduate career as a software engineer. I’ve been promoted. I’ve had two more kids. I’m still training. Still building a life. 90 months since my MS diagnosis. And today, at 43, I walked out of the gym pumped to fuck and looking suspiciously like Superman. 🦸‍♂️😂 I completely understand that not everyone with MS is in this position. This disease plays by different rules for all of us. But I think these stories deserve telling too. MS can take things. But sometimes you look back at everything you’ve done since diagnosis and realise: Fuck me... I’m still here, and I’m still moving forward. 💪

Huge congratulations! It’s nice to hear positive stories and messages. Continue “releasing the hounds” (within moderation of course 🙃)

@ilovems

Enjoy every day to the maximum. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring. Good for you 💪
