Actual medical research

I'm looking for some things to do with my life that may make a difference to my persistent symptoms. I keep seeing the same thing posted on here quoting the word "evidence" and then citing YouTube. YouTube, by it's very nature is not a trustworthy source. Do any of you have some peer reviewed, medical research, that has been through full and proper tests? I have read enough posts telling me to eat less sugar, or read Ann Horroch's book. A woman who never actually proved she had MS or how she was diagnosed, but somehow cured herself. I would like to think that their are medical professionals researching this and not just quacks looking to make a quick buck from vulnerable people looking for help.
@novemberrain

Anything on Pubmed. They are tricky to understand if you're not science minded (please dont be offended) but the papers are all peer reviewed and a lot more trustworthy than youtube. As a scientist, pseudoscience drives me round the bend@

I'm an engineer, so quite inquisitive by nature l and it winds me up when you can disprove 99% of things posted on here within 2 clicks on Google. Even to the point when you can type in disease interactions, MS, with (insert candida, splina, random tree moss sample) and get actual medical research indicating no interaction. I would just like some actual help.
