Can anyone share their experiences with Kesimpta?

Hello. My RRMS diagnosis was only a few short months ago so this a very new thing for me to adapt to and navigate through. I haven't yet started any treatment but I am due to start Kesimpta soon. I am, I think understandably, anxious and a little on edge about it and was wondering if anyone using Kesimpta as treatment wouldn't mind sharing their experiences with me. The positives, the negatives and all in-between. I would be very very grateful. Thank you.

I started Kesimpta in January this year after being given the choice between Kesimpta and Tysabri. I ultimately chose Kesimpta because it gave me the option to self administer it at home, and with that a lot more flexibility with work. The positives is that it has indeed given me a lot of flexibility, greater autonomy, has been easy to self administer (nurse will teach you how to the first time!), and it's a high efficacy treatment. I received my MRI results recently and the treatment has already been improving things! Finally, the injection itself is concealed and quite sophisticated! It has a mechanism that will do all the work for you. The only negatives is that I've started getting an injection site reaction the past couple of months and that has been a bit uncomfortable and irritated but my MS nurse has prescribed me something that should help alleviate the discomfort. In terms of the first time I had the injection I initially (the first couple times) got some flu like symptoms so was advised to take the injection at night and take some paracetamol. But, that has now dissipated. A nurse will be with you to guide you through the process and make sure you're safe. I am a super anxious individual and can empathise with feeling apprehensive. Hope this helps 🧡

@Vickyy That really is very helpful, I appreciate it so much. My Neurologist doctor was very insistent that I try Kesimpta above all other available options for reasons like the easy self administration and etc. The way he worded it though made it sound, honestly, a little scary so I have been feeling a bit off about it. This does help put me a little more at ease about it so again, I do really appreciate it.
