It makes sense to keep your muscles as strong & as flexible as possible. I remember going to the gym & doing an intense workout on a crosstrainer before i was diagnosed – afterwards, when i got home, i was so exhausted i could hardly move! I think its important to try to keep active but to be aware of your limitations. I am thinking of going to a pilates class next week as i have heard that pilates/yoga is good, it strenghthens core muscles, increases flexibility and posture, balance etc – also swimming is nice cos you dont tend to overheat in the water.

Yeah I;ve heard good things about Pilates. Strengthens the core and straightens out ones posture. Am planning to try a class myself. Good luck with yours

I do yoga once a week – it is fantastic and has really helped my balance/strength/flexibility. I feel a hell of a lot better for it andwould definitely recommend it!

Anyone here work out regularly? Do you find that it helps your mobility if you have such issues? Conventional thinking was that exercise is bad for MS because it causes fatigue immediately afterwards but nowadays we are advised to keep ourselves as strong as possible.
