well Here I am

Hi everyone I have RRMS diagnosed in 2016 but have realised symptoms went a lot further back! I am a very positive upbeat person, I believe that by working with what we have we can still manage to keep our symptoms low key. I have taken on the MS phylosophy (cannot spell) of becoming a pescatarian eating masses of veg and fruit very few sugars and no wheat. It suits me! I live alone and fight all the usual battles I was very saddened to find that I am not entitled to medication as I walk with two sticks and fall into the 64 plus age group. Sure I can try them but them pay and frankly I cannot afford it. So onwards and upwards lets get canabis products more available to us! Gins x

Hi @ginny_smalley and welcome. Being RRMS, 64+ and walking with two sticks shouldn't preclude you from treatment. That's age-ist and this country doesn't do age-ist. Give the Multiple Sclerosis Society Helpline (0808 800 8000) a call and see if they think you're too old and "lesser-abled".

Hello @ginny_smalley, yep, an upbeat attitude and positive spin goes a long way for sure. It’s a good philosophy, even if some days you have to force yourself through it! Age is, and should be, no barrier. Also, every year there are more things coming up in the pipeline so always keep in tune with what’s going in, via one of the reputable sites. Stay well :-)
