Hey guys! So, I’ve had ms since 2001 and I have had so many episodes of optic neuritis that I am legally blind. I have a full time job and social life. I think a CCTV might help me with every day things. Does anyone have one of these? There are so many! I’m not sure which one to choose. Any ideas?

Hi there. It depends on what kind of reading you want to do with it. If you just want something to read your mail then get a bottom of the range one or even a hand held one. If you want to read books etc I would advise looking into the MY Reader by humanware. It automatically cascades the text for you so you don’t have to inch along word by word which is v tiring over a longer period. Unfortunatly the prices are ridiculously inflated at both ends of the market.check out this site http://www.optimalowvision.co.uk and have a think about the kind of use you want out of it.Best of luck

Hey, just wondering, what do you mean by ‘legally blind’? Since you say you work full time etc, I assume you’re not blind blind….. Losing my sight is what scares me the most about this MS thing…Xx

I think “legally blind” is an american thing. It basically means that you are officially certified as having a visual impairment or low vision. It doesn’t necessarily mean you are totally blind. Please correct me if I’m wrong on that anyone from the states
