Upset stomach every morning? TMI warning
Hey all :)
So I have been on Tecfidera 8 months now but have had this recent of having diarrhoea every morning about 8ish (to be precise) then I’m mostly fine the rest of the day. I take my tablets generally 7am and 7pm. But when I need to go, I need to go 🙈
Is this Tecfidera causing the issue even after being on it for so long? Or is this a MS related thing?
I don’t have loss of bowel control, I can make it to the toilet it. Just need to make sure I don’t fart on the way 😂😂😂
@lightning87 , doesn't MS cause enough crap in our lives, without the medications causing more? 🤔 I think that you'll find that other "Teccies" may have experienced the occasional revisit of this symptom after months of being on the Tec, but probably not with your regularity and precise timing. The Tec has to be at the bottom (pun!) of this, but why just in the morning? Obviously the strategy is to take the Tec with a meal containing fat and protein (I think), so has your morning meal changed to precede this unwanted behaviour? I'd still be tempted to discuss this problem with either your MS Nurse and/or your GP. Otherwise, you're going to have to live with the curse of our older citizens, who have an unwritten rule, "Never trust a fart"! 😉
@lightning87 I was like that to an extent before I started TEC to be honest. But now it seems to be more in the opposite direction. I'd rather go back to the old ways it's so much less effort! Ain't life interesting at times!? Oh and can someone who has any medical background explain to my other half that broccoli and cauliflower aren't a cure all!? All things in moderation eh?
