Triathlon

Hi, recently been diagnosed with relapse remitting, it's not really new for me, I was the main carer for my mum who had MS aswell as a kid. Anyway, I have recently signed up for a small triathlon as I'd like to try it whilst I still can, but I seem to be having problems getting very dizzy whilst running, is this common with anyone?? I'm assuming it's some form of vertigo brought on by the MS?? Anyone got any good advise to counter this?
@grandma

@ross_stevenson Used to run marathons many years ago, last one I did I took a blind runner round so it felt great, the ms hit 6 months later but that was many years ago. But I digress, vertigo was one of my first symptoms, but it eventually resolved itself in 3-6 months. I don't know how old you are, but I was 38 at the time but the diagnosis made so many things fall into place going right back to childhood. Vertigo can bo controlled, and a triathlon should be easier than a marathon in some ways. It might help a bit if you tell a close friend you are competing with, you have only mentioned getting the vertigo whilst running so hopefully you will be ok swimming and bike riding, if someone is there to keep an eye on you especially during the running phase you should be ok. Go for it whilst you can, but with today's medications you should be able to do it for a long time. You could always get sponsorship for Shift.ms, worth thinking about?🥊😜

It's a company triathlon so they set the charity unfortunately! I am also 38, not had much of an issue on the treadmill but on the road it seems to flair up, hopefully the course will be fairly flat, the running bit is only 2.5km so not too long a distance for it to go wrong, not on any medication and not keen unless I have to either.
