I had a bout of optic neuritis 15 years ago. There was damage to my optic nerve which could only be seen through ocular devices. My glasses needed to have a stronger prescription but there was no increase in the damage. Or only a slight increase. In the last few days. I sporadically have cause sight of lightening bolts or flashes of light in I my left eye. I remember my dr. Mentioning that I might need surgery if the nerve breaks away from the eye. So yea, I’m nervous! I will visit my ophthalmologist this week but wondered if others had this happen.
