Throat?

Hi
Apologies! This is like my 3rd question on this site lol I’m in testing stages still so I’ve no idea what’s going on with me – it’s helping to ask about the odd weird symptom or niggle here.
I have a fair bit of trouble swallowing – but over the past few months I’ve noticed that my throat has sporadically been sort of forcing out these small puffs of air and sometimes wee sounds. I’m wondering if it’s perhaps mini spasms?
I’m due to have a barium meal exam next month – is it worth mentioning?
Thanks

I’m not sure what that is, but I would definitely mention that. I hope everything goes well for you!

@marie_anne , it’s understandable that you’ll have lots of questions. You keep asking and we’ll keep answering. 😉

Anyway, here’s an article on swallowing problems with MS :-

Thanks guys! I’m not usually such a worrier- this weirdness with my body at the mo is a different story though, because I’ve no idea what the heck’s going on!
Thanks for the understanding and advice 😊

@marie_anne

I have trouble swallowing food, drink, medication, was assigned a Speech Therapist as I have problems speaking . She was able to help me out both with my swallowing and speech issues by taking me through some different ways of swallowing.

@peterfrancis
I’m hoping I’ll get referred for help after the barium thingy as my swallowing is not good and my speech/breathing is not right either. It’s good to know that i hopefully won’t just have to live with it. Choking ain’t fun!
