Technologies to support MS

Hi there, how am a newbie to the forum so hello all... I am looking for some advice to help me support a family member with MS who is quite isolated.I was wondering if anyone could advise on any technologies available to ensure my aunt feels more included and connected to friends and family. Her motor skills, hand eye coordination is sadly deteriorating along with her sight so a mobile phone is no good anymore. I have been looking at the new ‘Portal’ that Facebook has launch or Amazon Alexa but worry these might be complicated for her even if I got them all set up. I would love any advice or ideas that could improve my aunts isolation. B x

Hello @buddha123, lovely that you're looking out for your aunt. Yes, I saw the new Portal but not sure what it involves. Is your aunt isolated geographically too?

It would seem that at her stage and with her needs that she could be linked up with a Physical Therapist or an Occupational Therapist for the tools and software to keep her connected. I'd push for that. Also curious why no DMT is listed in the profile, just a not on treatment. There are new treatments added all the time and now approved for progressive forms of MS...they could be investigated to to stop further decline- I have a cousin that has been legally blind all his life that is quite an amazing programmer in operating languages...amazing how he does it but it is possible. He also helped develop programs/tools for the visually impaired to use the computer more. He also has substantial motor issues that impact his hands so know there are tools and systems out there- Good luck to her- see if her Neuro can set her up with PT and/or OT services-
