Severe Leg Pain!!!

I just joined this site today and need some opinions from other MS patients going through this. I was diagnosed with MS just 22 months ago, but the past 6 months have been hell!!! I started out with spasticity and restless legs mostly in the evening. I have been on medication for these symptoms for over a year now, but in the last 6 months the pain has gotten unbearable and I can not control the movements in my legs. Both symptoms are now keeping me awake at night and the pain has me in tears thoughout the entire day. If I do any form of exercise, the pain is excruciating and has me down for days!! The doctor has me on Gabapentin, Baclofen and Ropinorole for the spasticity and restless legs. I also take Aubagio for the MS. I have lesions both on my brain and spinal cord. Can the severity of these symptoms really be caused by MS?

@chris_scheibe Do you have have an MS nurse? I think you need to speak to them urgently for support, there are all sorts they can do. Also would going swimming help? I’m not meaning 40 lengths at pace just get in the pool and move legs to see if that is soothing. Also if you haven’t done so take a look at diets. Overcoming MS, whals protocol, Swank. They promise miracles so read cautiously but there is anecdotal evidence that good food controls inflammation and therefore maybe pain. They worse thing you can do is help guard against heart disease! Good luck, take care x
