Relpase recovery time?????

How long is a piece of string? or even a bloody relapse? Been a week now since my legs started spasming and slowly start to become heavy. Woke up this morning and my left leg muscle is completely non functioning. Can't lift my leg and I am not walking very well. This has got to be the biggest relapse I have had since being diagnosed five years ago. Theres no way i'll be able to manage public transport/ drive into work. Question is have you had simillar where your leg/ legs stopped working and if so how long was it before things started working again (if they did!!) Is there anything to try to get things working again or do we have to just sit it out and hope? I've spoke to my MS nurse who said cll back if things get worse, (can it get much worse?) Starting to get a bit worried now as this is the first time my mobility has really been affected this bad. Hope you are all enjoying yourselves in the heat.
@Zoe_Deal

Hi, My first episode I lost feeling in my entire body, starting with my legs then working up. I'll be honest, it took a good month before things felt normal and 2 months to be fully recovered. Hopefully yours doesn't progress any further, it took about a week from the first feelings to progress to the full body and it sounds like it's been around that time for you. I was put on steroids to help speed the recovery along but unfortunately there's not much that can be done, you just gotta wait it out.

Hey @zoe_deal thnaks for posting, hopefully this doesn't progress any further but I am getting some weakness in my left arm so who knows. I am getting really cheesed off now and the heat is doing my head right in. My first relapse lasted about 4 weeks from memory and that was the right side of my body, so at least my body is getting balanced out with weakness/ numbness lol I am hopeing that my MS nurse ofers me some steroids but we'll have to wait and see.
