RDSP

Good Morning, Who here (in Canada)has an RDSP? Better yet, who has even heard of it? The RDSP is a government funded savings program similar to an RESP except this is for the future of someone with a medical condition and not for an education. I ask for two reasons. I have a long time family friend who was diagnosed with MS about 30 plus years ago. She was never told anything like this existed. If money is an issue, and really, when is it not, RDSPs are life changing. The program, for people with income challenges, includes grants AND the government contributes to the plan on a percentage basis (you contribute $10, they contribute $2 sort of concept). That's reason one for me asking the question. Reason two, I just partnered with a company that looks after RDSPs. Generally speaking, only banks look after them, but now this company does as well. They are an online mutual fund company and their fees are around half what the bank charges for looking after your account. So who would you rather see your money? You, or your bank. PM me for details.
