Query about HSCT

Hello all! I am an MSer, and have had the disease for the last 8 years. I have remitting relapsing MS.
I am lucky to not have had any relapses for the last couple of years. However my condition is not good, and I can hardly walk. I am considering Non Myelobalative HSCT, and am wondering if there is anyone in a similar situation who’s got it done.
Since my MS seems to be stable, would HSCT be of any help to me? The docs say that it will help me and will boost the healing process. However I am unable to understand their reasoning as my immune system anyways doesn’t seem to be attacking my body any longer (at least for now). So what help would the HSCT be of?

I am wondering if there is anyone else here like me who is in a similar condition and has undergone HSCT (or is considering the same).

Thanks all!

@samar , I believe you’re based in India. This information is useful for us to understand a bit about your health system.

Anyway, the absence of defined relapses does not signify that you are not accruing further damage. Have you had a recent MRI Scan to get a view of what’s going on? The answer to this question, may determine whether you feel that the HSCT treatment is worthwhile.

Non Myelobalative HSCT is a less aggressive form of HSCT. There are further details of this treatment here:-
