PIP application

Hey everyone, Little introduction I’m new here and I’m also new to the weird world of RRMS, it’s been a roller coaster for me so far I’m around 7 months down the line of my first attack where I presented as apparently a very common case of MS, my eye slight went from 100% to 60% My face dropped at one side like Bell's palsy so I couldn’t speak very well and I drooled like a bull dog yuk Also my left arm and leg welll... honestly I couldn’t feel them let alone use them. I was in New Zealand at the time finishing off my last couple of months on a working holiday visa, since coming back I feel a little lost i have tried to go back to full time work but honestly I don’t function the same anymore I’m 27 at my whits end and I need some help is PIP really that hard to get? will I get help? Where do I go for advise? Thanks in advance hope you are all well & staying safe Em x
@Adrianna

Hi Em, I’m Adrianna I’m newly diagnosed although doc suspects my MS started many years ago with my eyes. I like you wasn’t sure about claiming PIPS but I tried and I get it now, it takes 12 weeks or so but worth it and it’s back dated from the day you ring them.I up until recently had a full time job,but had to drop to part time when my legs decided to give up on me, now I cope better doing part time. I would advise you try to claim, it depends on your needs obviously but you’re defo entitled to something. Hope this is helpful, feel free to message me if you want to chat. X

@Stumbler

@e-woz , you might want to have a look at this website :- https://www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/ There's a negligible annual registration fee, but it's worth it for the advice and information available there. Alternatively, seek the assistance of your local Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).
