PIP

Is anyone dreading the arrival of PIP to replace DLA? I've done a self-assessment on the Benefits and Work Forum and I'm certain I won't get a penny because the criteria are much harsher, so I'll lose my Motability car. But what won't change is the ongoing monthly cost of MS, which for me runs into hundreds of pounds. The only consolation is that they're starting with new applicants so it will take a while to get to us.
@TaraRo

I'm very worried about PIP. It took me a long time to be awarded DLA and even longer to get ESA so I really am dreading the change!

@funnybank

book your appointment with citizens advice early, they should be familiar with the new questioning. i've been sent a letter telling me that my county council are planning to do medical assessments for blue badges. how much will that cost? surely going to be more expensive and less efficient and effective than taking a gp's advice. ESA is a costly mistake for this government, i think PIP will be similar. i'll head over to the benefits and work forum to have a look.
