People's experiences with medication

Hi, after a recent spurt of relapses, my consultant and his team are putting me forward for a change in my medication. I am normally on the 3 times weekly copaxone, and they are looking at ocrelizumab. I've looked at the BNF, and medicines.org.uk, at the ocrelizumab, and wanted peoples take on it. Looking at it, it seems better than the copaxone, because of copaxones post injection reactions and the fact if you were to have a reaction, a medical professional is there to help. I'm only 25, and my partner and I are looking at having children, but we're ok to wait a bit longer (I'd be pregnant now if I could get a decent job during covid 🙃) . What are your thoughts on this? Have you had any issues with ocrelizumab?
@Mlgilber1

I’ve been on Ocrevus for two years and I like it. My MRIs have been stable with no new or active lesions. I do get reactions during the infusion so they just give me more Benadryl whenever I need it. I’ve been very fortunate that it’s even helped with some of my symptoms. I have less cog fog and spasticity. It’s even helped my mobility. I was using a walker prior and haven’t needed it since two months after starting. I will get bad fatigue and some symptoms will get a little worse a month prior to my next infusion. I call it the crap gap and I’ve heard it’s supposed to get better with each infusion and not everyone experiences it. Good luck if you decide to make the switch!

@mlgilber1 thank you! Your post made me laugh a bit, and I really like the term "crap gap", definitely one to use if I do go on it.
