Pain around the eyes

I’ve been having an aching pain around my left eye when I look up and around. It’s been happening for a couple of days now and I’m worried it could be inflammation related. My first relapse was almost exactly two years ago and was optic neuritis. Has anyone experienced symptoms like this before?

@laura94 , the quickest way to get an answer is to have an eye test with your local optician. Mention that you have MS and have a bit of pain and they'll be able to look at the optic nerve for you. If they see any damage, then you should contact your MS Nurse to discuss.

@laura94 Hello Laura. Don't know if it's the same as what I've experienced in pain as you've described, but sounds similar to myself. It did abate after quite some time for me. However it might be an idea to have this checked by a doctor, myself I did & was sent to an optician. But in saying this I do have a 'lazy left eye', all my life. I did need stronger lenses for distance that's when this pain abated. Work had me constantly leaving a check on the back burner. Do have this checked, ebb on the side of caution. It's difficult to say MS or require an eye test. But from what Neuro told me MS can effect the eyes. As I know my eye pained me so horrendously but , on a happy note somehow a cpl of years later the optician told me I retrained my eyes requiring weaker lenses still no pain. Wishing you much good luck Laura I hope this pain ceases soon. Do hope something of what I've told you helps in a tiny way. Jane 💜
