Pain around eyes

Hi! I have a question about eyes.
Some of my symthoms got stronger lately (probably because of stress) but something that is bothering me is that my eyes hurt like they did when I had optic neuritis. All around eye, especially right one. Moving them hurts so I try to move my head instead. No dark spots, no problems with eyesight, just pain. It started about a week ago, and I was kind of expecting it to get worse like the last time, but nothing happens. Have you experienced something similar? What do you do with it?

If anybody experiences something like this in the future and is curious what might that be: I was told it was eye migraine / visual migraine. Probably due to lack of sleep and stress.

I have some issues on my optic nerve and some ON diagnosed but have never had pain with my vision. When I said this at a top Neuro site (Mayo in rochester MN USA) they said that what I was experiencing sounded more like Optical Migraines as usually ON for MS people does involve pain and I certainly here that referenced on the other posts on ON in this forum.

If you put in “ON” or Optical Neuritis into the little magnifying glass in the upper left you will see a lot of prior posts on it.

Good luck! If this is a new symptom, or an old one expressing in a different way you should probably check in with your Neuro…they may have some suggestions, want to try some steroids to see if that helps (big hit like 1MG/day infused), change your DMT or other tricks they may have up their sleeve.

@itsmewithms Thank you, I will search for some prior posts. 🙂 I should go to my Neuro but last time I went to her she sent me to the ER and I had to wait about 12 hrs for a drip with magnesium :I

ughhh…never had that happen! I think they recognize the ER would have no idea what to do with neuro issues…they can patch you up but that is about it. That is why we go to specialists…not the other way around. When I am under attack (confirmed by the MRI) I get in-home infusions of steroids if warranted.
