Numb foot

I noticed last Thursday my left foot was going numb/tingly on the side of it. The next day it went then on Saturday it came back and both my feet were super cold even though my body was hot. I was at my friends wedding and the vicar kept asking us to bloody stand up and sit down n I was thinking corrr my legs don’t want to work! They were really achey needless to say when I got drunk all day I didn’t notice and was dancing away with the best of them which makes me wonder how much of it is actually in my head and how much our minds control our body!? I digress... but anyway... this sucks because it’s a completely new symptom and again I’m sitting there thinking am I relapsing or is it just ‘part and parcel’ My first ever episode I went numb from chest to toe so could be damage from that...
@Vixen

Hi @blagaman182, it could well be residual damage resurfacing again, triggered by something, but best call your MS nurse if possible. Hope it disappears sharpish 😊

Interesting. My typical issue is some sort of gait issue and foot drop. Occasional optic neuritis, sensitivity in left hand to heat/cold and once a strange speech thing. Now I have the foot drop and also the top of my thigh is numb and my gait/balance sucks. I went in after a week for an MRI to check for activity and hopefully quick resolution with some prednisone like before...but this time he could see no new activity so I am off to check for compression of the lateral femoral cutaneous nerve which could be due to the hip replacement I had a couple of years ago. As it isn't part of the central nervous system so my Neuro says is not likely due to MS I will be heading to Mayo for a full workup in their Neuro Dept. Sounds like this is something you need looked into further as well. I remember my first neuro getting upset with me when I just passed stuff off as "a MS thing" and told me to push a bit more on issues as they may have other issues that need to be resolved- Good luck! I've wondered if they could do some sort of nerve block and see if I feel the same pain I've been feeling. I know we do that on horses...and they can trot off sound! amazing
