Hi guys - it's been quite a while since I've posted anything. I just want to ask if any of you have regular trouble with your vocal cords? In Oct 17 I lost my voice - for 6 weeks & whilst it was pure bliss for my hubby, it was completely frustrating for me! Since then it's happened 4 times - no virus needed. In addition, the spasms in my left leg have been so bad that they've torn part of my achilles tendon (could it be spasms in the vocal cords too?). My question is - do any of you experience the same thing? My ms nurse has referred me to the SALT team (waiting list of 26 weeks). Thanks for listening & happy mother's day to all the mom's on here. X

@aliga , here are some details about the speech problems that MS is capable of causing:- https://www.mstrust.org.uk/a-z/speech Personally, I can't see a spasm causing this. But, if the spasms in your leg are becoming so "acute", you may want to consider Baclofen to try and address this. Your MS Nurse should be able to help you progress this. In the meantime, you may want to consider Magnesium supplements, which may help. And, yes, I echo your sentiments for Mothers Day. It's a grand, and important, role that you ladies perform.

Thanks @stumbler for the reply & info supplied. I am actually already on Baclofen, but will have a look at adding the magnesium supplements. In the meantime, hubby can continue to enjoy peace & quiet... :)
