No DMT at the moment...

Hi all! I was diagnosed very recently with MS, on Feb. 26th 2020. Feb. 12th, 13th, 14th '20 I had a Methylprednisolone cure for 3 days, which didn't help me out of my relapse. Complaints are getting worse and my neurologist says DMT is not an option right now because of the corona virus. He says "I cannot do anything for you right now". Anyone, any suggestions to make me feel better...? I wish everyone all the best in these difficult times, have faith!

Hello @joyceg, what a poor start to the year you've had! Well, steroids won't actually cure a relapse. We take them to reduce any inflammation, and to speed the recovery where possible. So for now, focus on your recovery and health to make sure you're in the best place to start treatment. Were you diagnosed with RRMS? You could make a start by researching al the available DMTs so that you are aware of the choices, how they are taken etc. This can be overwhelming when presented with the information, so make a head start. Eat healthily and rest and sleep as much as you can. Always use an official site for research, not Google. Try MS Society or MS Trust. You'll be OK :-)

@vixen Thanks for your quick reply! The diagnose is not sure yet, RR MS or PP MS. I've read all about the possible DMT's. The neurologist mentioned Ocrevus, which would be for treating PP MS. Any treatment would be great risk now, because of undermining the immune system. I'm waiting for a second opinion, it's on the 25th of June. Any suggestions for diet? Terry Wahls or George Jelinek any experience with these? Thnxxx!
