New to this and scared

Hi everyone. Can’t quite believe I’m writing this because I’m still so confused. I’m 28 years old, and just been told I have ms well a few months ago. I’m writing this to ask for reassurance, that it will be okay? I’m so so scared. I want children and just a normal life! Please tell me this will be manageable and I can still live my life :( Sorry for the panic post I’m just in a panic. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone’s well and has a great week Lauren x
@merfield

Please try not to panic, it won’t help the situation or change it. I see you’re from Camberley- I used to live down the road in Sunningdale. As to your very recent dx of rrMS - there are people on here even younger who lead full and happy lives...... the best place for advice is The MS Trust or the MS Society. But on here you’ll get help and advice too. We all want to help each other. We’ve all been in your position but slowly but surely you adjust, believe it or not. Keep your chin and spirits up. We’re all here any time. xx

Sorry you are feeling this way - its perfectly natural to worry but as said above - that wont help. I am 32 and have 2 children (aged 3 and 4) and have had healthy, normal pregnancies. I struggle a little with fatigue and a few little bit and bobs but its definitely manageable. The children give me lots of incentive to carry on and not get to anxious. Enjoy things while they are good and try not to worry about what may happen in the future. I just attended an information day last week where an MS specialist actually said the younger you are when you develop symptoms, the better your prognosis is than someone who develops symptoms later in life. Id never heard this before but i going to take it as good news for us youngsters! Its good to talk and iv found this page to be a great source of advice and reassurance
