New plaques

Just got a letter from Neuro saying the recent MRI shows the presence of several new plaques of inflammation (compared to the last one of January 2016) and stating that I would be suitable for O (subject to bloods) if it were available in Scotland for PPMS and that he is applying for an IPTR to try and get me it. He will keep me informed of the progress

Wow, @watsoncaig, ho are you feeling about that? My sister is currently doing tests for suitability too, so two sets of fingers crossed……

@vixen I have been feeling down and my balance/walking has got worse so I harassed suspicion but to see it in writing throws up a bigger downer as it is proof I am getting worse. Fingers crossed for your sister.

@highlander ,thanks. All the rain in the UK will be making you homesick for Jockland!

Got a call from my MS Nurse telling me to get the pneumonia jab and arrange for blood tests (Ocrevus protocol). Guess I have been approved

Congratulations @watsoncraig! And my sister got a call in London yesterday evening to say that hers has been approved after initial refusal too! Thank goodness that the Ocrevus Gods are smiling…..x

Good luck, lots of us on this forum have been started on it. I’ve been through the first two 1/2 doses.

I did make sure to have my flu jab at least two weeks before and then questioned if I should have also had the shingles. I have a complicated history with chickenpox so am afraid of that one…I have like a natural immunity to chicken pox and don’t want to kick off an auto immune. They haven’t answered if that could be a problem so I don’t get it…

Good luck and hope this resolves issues as some say it has for them. As for me I am just hoping it slows any progression. I have had worse gait issues and some blurry vision but don’t feel that can be blamed on O as it was kicking in before I started it. I’m in the “try it and keep your fingers crossed” stage πŸ˜‰
