New and confused:(

New on here :) Hi all, I'm Libz a 44 year old nurse, after years of wrong diagnosis, I had an MRI which is apparently was inconclusive. All signs are pointing towards MS and I am now awaiting a Neuro appointment. I am currently suffering really badly with the most awful heavy achy arms, tingly and weird sensations in my fingers. I am totally fatigued after the simplest of tasks. I have stumbled and fell over with awful bruises several times over the last month. I can't get words out I know what I want to say and can't find the words or say the complete wrong word. I try to laugh it off when I do it but it scares me Sleeping is a total nightmare my legs burn so hot nothing cools them down and even though I go toilet before bed 2 minutes I'm up again and then again :( Help any advice would be appreciated and are these symptoms the same as other peoples? Sorry for the long post x
@Stumbler

Hi @libertinelibz and welcome. Those symptoms all present in MS, but they also present in other conditions too, which makes the Neuro's job more specialised. But, that's the right speciality to identify what's going on. Unfortunately, Neuros seem to be inordinately busy, so your referral may have a bit of a wait. If this is the case, you may consider going private, if finances permit, to expedite the investigation. Then you can switch back to the NHS list. That is unless you can pull some strings, being part of the NHS.............. Your GP may be able to help with some of the Neuropathic pain. Normal painkillers won't touch it, so something like Pregabalin may help. You could also ask your GP for a referral to the local incontinence service, to try and provide some relief for you overnight. Once again, unless you can pull some strings.... And, never apologise for a long post. The more you can get off your chest, the better. 😉

@stumbler thankyou for your reply, I 'll definatly see the GP for some better pain killers. Waiting for Neuro is a nightmare, I'm no longer doing normal nursing due to health so Unfortunatly I can't pull any strings :( to add to my list of symptoms today one of my fingers has started tremouring ... It never ends hope you are well
