Neurological Pain

Currently i’m on Copaxone (DMD) and a 100mg Amitriptyline and Tramadol at night to help me rest from the Neurological Pain that is like burning fire and tingling, have never had any relief from this pain since being diagnosed in 2015 and it is steadily increasing around my body. Any pain relief would be most welcome, have tired Gabapentin and Pregabalin to no avail, recently came of these due to increased appetite and lots of weight gain.
Other medication that I currently taken that isn’t mention above:
Other conditions that have been diagnosed in 2013 Diabetes and High Blood Pressure, 2014 had a brain operation for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus, 2015 diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and 2016 Sleep Apnea.

Hi @rondgreen .

The only other medication for Neuropathic Pain is Duloxetine (cymbalta)…………

Here’s a webpage about treatments for this frustrating symptom :-

Hi @rondgreen,

For nerve pain I take Endep – it also helps with sleep.
It’s actually for depression (which I don’t have).
1 x 10mg knocks me out so I break them in half.

Neuro wanted me to take Lyrica but many get depression when coming off it!!

Tramadol is great but not advisable for long term pain relief my doctors tell me.
But it works for me.

Good luck

Endep is also known as Amitriptyline. 😉

Endep in Aussie (sorry for the translation)

If your on 100mg of that with Tramadol and still suffering I’m afraid it’s beyond my knowledge.

I’m not sure about this, but I’ve heard cannabis is good for pain, sleeping and spasticity if your at the stage of trying anything that may help.
Others here might offer help on this stuff??
