Needing advise on pain
Hi I got diagnosed wi rr ms in April this yr. I was wondering if anyone else gets pain all on the same side as in head arm and leg. I am on 600 mg gabapentin 3 times a day but doesn't do much.

Hey! I get pain everywhere, but it is more concentrated on my right side. I know a lot of people here will experience things only on one side of their body. I take 900mg of gabapentin 3 times a day and it doesn’t do much. My ms specialist added in amitriptyline which helps a bit more, but we are working on switching the gabapentin to something else. She prescribed cymbalta, but then I realized it has an interacting with something I take for anxiety. I would definitely give your doctor a call if it’s not helping so they can try something else. @sarahlb, contact your MS Nurse to discuss your pain. Then they can determine whether the pain medication should be reviewed or whether a Neuro-physio assessment would be more appropriate.
