NCS/Electromyography

Hi guys Can anyone explain what nerve conduction studies and electromyography has to do with MS. I have been sent for these tests due to on going pins and needles. I have new lesion on spinal cord C2/3. Brain no change. Thanks. LJl. 👧

Hello @jolea. I had nerve conduct testing as part of the run up to diagnosis. At that time, it was to look at whether I had MS or a reoccurrence of sarcoidosis. The results showed that my sensory, rather than motor responses were slower. Since being diagnosed, my susmptoms have continued to be sensory. Not sure this helps, but that’s my experience anyway! :-)
