Multiple auto immune disorders
Hi everyone I just joined I was wondering if any of you have multiple auto immune disorders? I found out I was diabetic (type 1) when I was 20 and recently at 36 diagnosed with MS last year. Now knowing that a lot of what I was experiencing for years had to do with the MS it explains a lot. I actually found out by accident I ended up having a bad disc in my neck which required a major spinal surgery 2 December’s ago but it was in diagnosing that through MRIs they discovered the MS lesions. Just wanting to connect with others suffering with diabetes as well. Thanks 😀
As a kid I had Rheumatoid Arthritis from the ages of 8-15 years. When I was 40 I was diagnosed with PPMS, but looking back I wonder if things that I could no longer do were MS snd not me just getting older? I've also always suffered with a dodgy gut, and feel much of that may have been intolerance to certain foods. I know to avoid some ingredients. And when others are cooking, and I get an incident, it's normally due to them using these foods. Which validates my issue with these foods, and it's not just me being psychosomatic. I do feel all these issues are connected. But when I bring them up with my Neurologist or MS Nurse they just shrug them off!
@shannon_simons , there have been previous posts regarding a comorbidity of Diabetes. Put "Diabetes" into the Forum Search (magnifying glass, top left) to locate these items.
