I’ve often wondered about comments about pain and MS as I’ve never had pain associated with any of my symptoms. I’ve actually been able to distinguish a something as a “MS thing” because there was no pain associated with it. Like when my foot sticks out at a funny angle when I walk and it doesn’t hurt…did I do something to it? no, it’s just an MS thing.

But now with my right leg I have lots of pain in my hip and around the SI joint and it might be due to MS…or it might be an impinged nerve due to the hip replacement and arthroscopic surgery I had done two years ago. So I’ve been thinking more about pain and MS and while it hasn’t affected me in the past it may or may not be now.

Now I’m at least aware of it and wow…dealing with that on top of other symptoms…I am developing new understandings and empathy.
