Ms hug

Hope everyone keeping well staying safe. Haven't been on here in awhile . How would you no if having ms hug . I'm just finished 12 days antibiotics and 5 days steroids my gp said I had infection which flaring up my asthma but chest still gets tight every now and again like a spasm so I'm just wondering if it ms hug would all stress from covid 19 be a trigger ..I'm well in myself still able exercise etc . Thanks guys stay safe 😊
@ItsMewithMS

I have had what was considered MS Hug a few times immediately after taking my Copaxone injection and they were very sudden, very strong but of a short duration. Some people fear they are having a heart attack and if I hadn't heard of MS Hug beforehand I likely would have as well! because I had heard of it I just breathed through it like during birthing and forced myself to stay calm...which is borderline impossible! I suspect all presentations may not be the same and I added the category of "Pain" to your post as that is where Dr Boster has it in his playlists and if you click that you may find other posts on it. You can also search using the little magnifying glass in the upper left- Dr Boster has a video on MS Hug that I could relate to. Somehow understanding the causes to it helped me deal with them rationally- - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZBXCQ6uMPg

@Stumbler

@shelley44 , "like a spasm" hits the nail on the head. But, I'll leave it to Dr Boster to explain it fully. And, yes, stress can bring on symptoms, or a relapse. Hopefully, the steroids will kick this into touch.
