MS Hug???

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well. I just wanted some advice please. I think I'm having a new symptom... The dreaded MS hug. It started early hours of Sunday morning. I woke up with the most excruciating, intense pain under my ribs in the right hand side of my body, front and back. It felt like someone was trying to break my ribs. The spasms in my muscles are like nothing I've ever had before. Lying down makes it worse therefore sleeping isn't easy. It's not so bad when I'm standing up during the day but nearly a day and a half later it's still there... I'm worried that new symptom =relapse as I've been doing so well for a while now. I'm on tecfidera and all has been good for over a year. Is it normal for this particular symptom to hang around for so long. I thought the MS hug came and went. I really hope this isn't going to part of my daily life now. Thank you to anyone who replies, I really appreciate it x

@annie13 Ask your doctor about Baclofen it's a muscle relaxant it keeps my calves from cramping up. And I haven't had the hug since I started taking them. Hope this helps 😀

@aoife_brennan_1 Hi. I've been on them for are 2 years. I take 2am and 2pm and I take one or 2 in the afternoon if I feel like I need them. It's been a little trial and error at times but it works for me. Hope you manage to find a good balance when you need it.
