@sheetal , Shift.ms sent MS Reporters to ask these type of questions to medical professionals. You can see the videos here :- https://shift.ms/women-and-ms-planning-a-family
Hey! I had a baby a year ago. I was so afraid I was going to relapse as I read it is common for your symptoms to go away during the pregnancy but have a relapse a few months after. So far I haven’t had a relapse. My MS has affected my walking. As I find it difficult to walk long distances so my pregnancy (because I had a c sec) affected my abdominal muscles. I have to work on the lower ones so I can walk a bit better. You have to remember to take care of yourself during and after your pregnancy. Take it easy and don’t over due it. Sleep when baby sleeps seriously!! The house work can wait. I find sleep so important, as I am more symptomatic when I do not have a lot of sleep. As for the genetic aspect of neurological diseases in my family it skips generations. I had it checked just to be sure there is blood work they can do. Good luck and don’t hesitate to ask me any questions.
