I do. I’ve gotten used to the nerve pain, but the back pain is bad. I’m on Lyrica for nerve pain and it helps me more than the gabapentin did and unfortunately I’m on painkillers for my back. I recently had a diagnostic nerve block that helped a lot so now I’m having radio frequency ablation where they go in and burn the nerve endings so pain signals can’t get through which should give me 6 months to a year of pain relief. I’ve also tried physical therapy and it does help, but only a little for a very short time.

Does the nerve damage itself from MS cause pain or does the nerve damage cause you to move differently which causes pain? I don’t directly have pain from MS but sometimes I move or walk awkwardly, which causes muscle pain after ahile

@tammylouise Yeah for me it’s the back pain that’s horrible. I also see a pain specialist which can take awhile to get into in the US, but thankfully it didn’t take too long. Still sucks though because they just give my oxycodone which I don’t want to have to be on, but I also get sick and it’s just hard to do anything when I’m in a lot of pain which seems to be all the time. Really hoping the ablation works so I can stop taking the pain meds. I’ve also tried medical marijuana, but it doesn’t really help me with the back pain and the pain specialists don’t like people taking that and meds and they drug test.

@lightningduck I do sometimes walk funny it’s either like I’m drunk or the pains so bad in my legs I struggle,I have stumbled a few times but stopped myself from falling,I don’t what’s causing the pain but I’m like it 24/7 and the more walking I do the more pain I’m in X

@tammylouise , pain comes in a couple of forms and is symptomatic of MS. The following article may explain :-

@tammylouise I do Ocrevus infusions every 6 months to help prevent relapses. I’ve tried CBD oil and patches, but doesn’t help me much. It works for some people though so it’s definitely worth a try.
