MS and low grade temps

Hi folks, new here and hoping for some advice please. I was wondering if anyone has problems regulating their temperature because of MS? I'm hovering everyday with a low grade temp between 37.6 to around 38.3c, even when my hands (I also have Raynauds) are freezing to touch! I had a recent MRI scan and although I have new lesions, I don't have any on my hypothalamus, so I'm stumped. I am not long out of hospital for having Sepsis and even though my temp was higher when I had it, having this constant low grade temp is making me paranoid! I spoke to my GP but he isn't sure what's causing it either. Thanks xx

@dizzyjc , this problem is potentially caused by damage on your Central Nervous System (CNS), which is preventing/maladjusting the messages from your nerve endings to your brain. As the brain doesn't know what's going on at the nerve endings, it can't manage this area correctly and sensory issues occur. There's a couple of old posts about a drug, Nifedipine, which might help. Use the Forum Search function (magnifying glass, top left), to locate them. It may be worth discussing with your GP. By the way, I'm NOT a medical person.

@stumbler- thank you so much for your helpful reply! 😊 Makes a lot of sense what you're saying about the nerve endings messing up the messages in the brain. I'll look up this Nifedipine, thanks! I would honestly do just about anything right now to be rid of these temps as they make me feel quite unwell. I'm very glad I have joined this site and thanks again for pointing me in the right direction. It's much appreciated. Hoping you're as well as can be and looking forward to Christmas. 🎄
