MRI question

Hi all, just had a full spinal mri and the techs had to repeat an area while I was in there. They said the doctor who reviews the images had told them to do it. I’m wondering if that means they saw something not good and needed a clearer picture or different type of scan of what they saw. Or just an image quality issue and no clinical significance. Anyone else had this?

@sue50 , try not to get too concerned by this. It's not easy to stay totally still for the length of time that the scan takes. So, it may have just been a bad image in the first place......

@grandma

Stumbler us probably right as usual. I had an MRI a few weeks ago and I was in a very 'twitchy, period, so found it almost impossible to stay absolutely still. Ended up in tears, staff were brilliant, they get nearly as much movement from people without ms, scan which should have taken 1hr took 2 1/2 but they said not to worry, and its quicker and cheaper to repeat scan, several times if necessary, than to call you back for another appointment.😉😍
